Tattoos provided by Art with Lin and other local tattoo artists. Tattoos are provided on a walk-in basis. Cash only. $75-$100 based on size. \nLearn more on our Facebook page. \nThe semicolon tattoo is a symbol of mental health awareness\, resilience and solidarity\, particularly in the context of suicide prevention. It originated from Project Semicolon\, a movement founded in 2013 to support individuals struggling with mental illness\, self-harm\, and suicidal thoughts. \nIn writing\, a semicolon represents a pause in a sentence rather than an end\, symbolizing that your story isn’t over. For those who get the tattoo\, it often means: \nSurvival: They’ve chosen to continue their story despite challenges. \nHope: A reminder that life can get better. \nSupport: Solidarity with others facing similar struggles\, showing they are not alone. \nThe semicolon tattoo is deeply personal\, often serving as a conversation starter to spread awareness and reduce stigma surrounding mental health \nThis year’s designs: \n

SUMMARY:Rotarians in the Rough Golf Tournament
DESCRIPTION:Join the Cedar Rapids Downtown Rotary Club on June 10 at Hunter’s Ridge Golf Course for a benefit tournament – all proceeds will benefit Foundation 2 Crisis Services’ mission. \nRegister now \n\nThis Downtown Rotary-sponsored event is a fundraiser for a local nonprofit organization. Each year\, the recipient of the funds raised is voted on by the membership of the club and will assist in planning and day-of-event activities. The golf outing will be a four-person\, best-shot tournament with dinner and awards following play. The Rotary Club of Cedar Rapids (Downtown Rotary) is proud to support area organizations that are doing incredible work. \nThis year’s winning nonprofit is Foundation 2 Crisis Services!  Proceeds from the event will be used to support operating costs at their Emergency Youth Shelter. The Emergency Youth Shelter is intended to support run away\, homeless\, and human-trafficked youth. They provide the only emergency youth shelter east of Ames in the state of Iowa making it a critical service in our area. The facility is coed and supports up to 17 youth at a time. Annually\, the shelter serves 150 youth.  All net funds raised from registrations and donations to the outing will go directly towards funding Foundation 2’s services. \nCheck-in begins at 11 a.m. with a noon shotgun start. A dinner and awards presentation at the clubhouse will start at 4:30 p.m. \n\n\nLearn more on the Facebook event
