Foundation 2 staff provided Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) education to a group of representatives from the immigrant and refugee community at Des Moines Area Community College on November 15 and 16.  This very diverse class participated in rich discussions about the roles that everyone can play in suicide prevention.  We asked participants to write the word “hope” In their native language as a reminder that together we can save lives.  Thank you to this amazing group of people who were willing to share their stories and learn about suicide prevention at this training.
