Foundation 2 receives ARPA Funding for new facility

In April 2022, the Linn County Board of Supervisors awarded the first round of funding from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) dollars it received from the federal government. ARPA funding is meant to speed up the United States’ recovery from the economic and health effects caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Linn County is receiving a total of $44 million in ARPA funding in two installments.

Foundation 2 Crisis Services received $900,000 toward a new Cedar Rapids headquarters facility.  Foundation 2 staff currently work out of six different locations in Cedar Rapids, which reduces efficiencies and makes it more difficult for clients to receive comprehensive services. A new location will provide sufficient space for the growing Foundation 2 workforce, as well as provide easy access to the highway for Mobile Crisis Outreach services, and easy access for clients needing services.

We will update our community as more information becomes available during this exciting time!
