Help us stuff the truck!

We are partnering with the Junior League of Cedar Rapids to serve young people aging out of foster care during Giving Tuesday (Tuesday, Nov. 29)!

Each year, the Junior League of Cedar Rapids assembles and donates several dozen “Apartment in a Suitcase” bundles for young people enrolled in our Fostering Futures program. This program helps young people become stable after aging out of foster care.

The suitcases contain basic necessities for independent living – perhaps items that a family member or loved one helped you get for your first apartment. Each suitcase is valued at approximately $700.

Join us between 7 a.m.-2 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 29 at Craft’d (333 1st St SE Suite 100) to “Stuff the Truck” with requested basic living supplies for the “Apartment in a Suitcase” bundles.

Plus- Enjoy a FREE DRINK at Craft’d for donating in-kind item(s) on Giving Tuesday, courtesy of Palmer Group. (Only valid for donations made on 11/29)

Can’t make it on Giving Tuesday? Donation boxes will also be available Nov. 21-Dec. 4 at Craft’d from 7 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday-Friday.
