When a crisis occurs, it’s important to know where to go for support. These resources provide a variety of services to support you and your loved ones during a difficult time.

Foundation 2 Crisis Services – Mobile Crisis Outreach
- 24/7 in-person support for people in crisis. With MCO, trained counselors will come to you at home, work, school, or other location. Counselors will respond within one hour of receiving a request (adverse weather conditions may delay response time). Mobile Crisis Outreach is currently offered to residents of all ages in Benton, Bremer, Buchanan, Cedar, Clinton, Delaware, Dubuque, Jackson, Jones, Linn, Muscatine and Scott counties.

- Statewide help line focusing on questions or concerns about alcohol, drugs, gambling, mental health and suicide. All services are free and confidential.

- 988 is a nationwide network of crisis centers available 24/7 by phone and text. Whether you’re facing mental health struggles, emotional distress, alcohol or drug use concerns, or just need someone to talk to, 988’s caring counselors are here for you. It’s free and confidential.

I’m Glad You Stayed Project
- The I’m Glad You Stayed Project strives to educate the public, especially teenagers, on real-time suicide prevention actions. They provide free resources such as wristbands, stickers and bag tags with the 988 suicide and crisis lifeline number on them, pamphlets on how to help your friend that is struggling with suicidal ideation, and offer free QPR training, in person or on Zoom, with the goal of saving the lives of those struggling with mental health and suicidal ideation.

The Big O Foundation
- The mission of The Big O Foundation is to serve and support children, teenagers and their families that are facing mental health challenges. They share Owen Skelley’s story to spread mental health education, draw our community together, and support the welfare of local youth.

Tanager Place – LGBTQ+ Youth Center
- The Center provides a safe and confidential environment for LGBTQ+ youth, families, and allies. Programs at the Center are diverse and include support groups, special art offerings, mentoring programs, Pride Café, community service, health initiative classes, parent workshops, financial literacy, tutoring, and career exploration.
