Hours: Full-time (8 a.m. – 4 p.m.), with flexible scheduling dependent on the needs of the clients and employee’s availability. his may include work during daytime hours, evenings, and/or weekends but there will be no opportunities for overtime. Employee may work with the Program Supervisor/Manager to flex hours to meet the required time.

Overview of the Role
The Law Enforcement Liaison program provides support in area law enforcement agencies for individuals experiencing crises related to mental health and substance use. As the Co-Response Care Coordinator, you will provide care coordination to individuals who are involved in the Law Enforcement Liaison Program. Your role includes helping clients meet their basic needs and connecting them to resources, such as healthcare providers, community services and social support systems. Foster and maintain positive relationships with community partners. Create and implement field-based case plans for 10-15 justice involved adults with behavioral health needs, in collaboration with clients. Attend and participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and all other meetings as required.
Wages & Benefits
- The annual base salary range for this position is $18-20 per hour, plus our generous benefit package of $12,000 per year. What You’ll Do

What You Need
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate degree and one (1) year of human service experience
- Bachelor’s degree in human services field and two (2) or more years’ relevant experience
- Individual combinations of education and experience will be evaluated and may vary for the right candidate
- Comfort using basic computer software
- Basic typing and data entry skills
- Valid driver’s license and be insurable by the agency auto insurance policy
- Pass all background checks completed by Foundation 2 Crisis Services
- Submit copy of college degree or transcript as required by licensure for personnel file
- Live in Iowa
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Successfully complete required trainings within required time periods
- Attend all MCO trainings within 120 days of hire (40 hours, including two (2) consecutive eight (8) hour days)
- Bachelor’s degree preferred plus 1-year human service experience
- Must possess the social capital and real-world experience that sets the stage for credibility and trust from program participants
- The ideal candidate will come from the same communities and share some of the same life experiences as the program participants. The aim is to foster connections that help program participants become empowered
- Experience in crisis services is preferred
- Education or training in trauma-informed care is preferred
- Experience in strengths-based practices is preferred
- Background in motivational interviewing is preferred
- Experience in conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques is preferred
- Ability to clearly communicate emotional support to people in crisis is preferred
- Knowledge/experience working in the mental health, substance use, and/or problem gambling field is preferred
