Overview of the role
Provide counseling, crisis intervention, safety planning, suicide risk assessment and care coordination to clients according to program policies and procedures. Conduct daily follow-up calls for all assigned clients within designated time frames. Provide care coordination services and assist individuals with connecting to long term mental health services. Offer support, assistance, and referral information. Dispatch to crisis calls within the East Central Region service area as required by program schedule. Participate in effective community outreach and education to ensure service delivery and knowledge of programs with partners and stakeholders.
The standard hours for this role are Monday-Friday from 8:00am-4:00pm. The role offers the opportunity to sign an ESA for the Mobile Crisis team and pick up additional overtime shifts if desired.

What you’ll do

What you need
- Bachelor’s degree in a human service-related field required and one (1) or more years’ relevant experience.
- Comfort using basic computer software.
- Basic typing and data entry skills.
- High comfort with computers with the ability to type quickly and multi-task.
- Excellent writing and grammar skills.
- Valid driver’s license and be insurable by the agency auto insurance policy.
- Pass all background checks completed by Foundation 2 Crisis Services.
- Submit a copy of college degree or transcript as required by licensure for personnel file.
- Attend all MCO trainings within 120 days of hire (40 hours, including two (2) consecutive eight (8) hour days).
- Experience in crisis services preferred.
- Education or training in trauma-informed care preferred.
- Experience in strengths-based practices preferred.
- Ability to clearly communicate emotional support to people in crisis preferred.
- Knowledge/experience working in the mental health, substance use, and/or problem gambling field preferred.
