Online Donations

Donors who wish to donate online can use their PayPal account or their credit card information to make a one-time donation or a monthly contribution. Monthly contributions allow you to send monthly donations to Foundation 2 Crisis Services to help continue our mission by checking one box—that’s it!

Endowment

In June 2021, Foundation 2 Crisis Services established an endowment through the Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation. The endowment’s purpose is to support the mission of Foundation 2 Crisis Services in perpetuity. A gift to our endowment is a wonderful way to honor the life of someone who died by suicide because the gift will continue to serve our organization for years to come. The Endow Iowa Tax Credit Program allows taxpayers to receive an Iowa state income tax credit equal to 25 percent of the value of your gift for certain endowed charitable gifts. These gifts are not eligible for a state income tax deduction, although they do qualify for the federal charitable deduction. The Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation is a qualified community foundation that provides access to Endow Iowa tax credits. Learn more here.

Memorial or Honorarium Gifts

Our donors may choose to celebrate a good friend or family member, or honor the memory of a loved one by making a memorial or tribute gift. Tribute gifts can be given online (be sure to include their information in the additional area provided for donations) or by making a check donation.

In-Kind Donations

Commonly needed items at the emergency youth shelter (ages 11-17, all genders) include:

  • Holiday and birthday gifts
  • Socks and underwear
  • Recreational activities (sports equipment, games, craft supplies, etc.)
  • Personal hygiene products
  • School supplies

Commonly needed items with the Fostering Futures program (ages 17-23, all genders) include: 

  • Small household items
  • Gift cards (to area restaurants, gas stations, grocery stores, etc.)
  • Full-size toiletries
  • Phone cards (Straight Talk, T-Mobile, etc.)
  • Suitcases, bags, totes and other storage containers

In-kind donations can be dropped off at the Foundation 2 Crisis Services at 305 2nd Ave. SE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52401, Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
